Business Development

Sometimes it can seem like "business development" is nothing more than lofty words, thrown around by business consultants to make small business owners feel an inch high.

Does this sound more like the day-to-day “organizational development” of your company?

  • I work too hard for too little reward.
  • I work in chaos.
  • I never have enough time to accomplish what I dream of accomplishing.
  • I don’t have systems in my business.
  • I can’t figure out the “trick” to getting my employees motivated.
  • I am chained to my business.
  • I wear too many hats.
  • I want to run a profitable business that can survive without me.

There are three steps to eliminating this pain:

  1. Assess what is.
  2. Create a strategy to get what you want.
  3. Practice Open Book Management.

Once you brush off all the hype and fluff, that’s Business Development in a nutshell.
