Come Join Me at these Events!

I preach weekly blog posts.  My frustration has been that while I preach the gospel, there aren’t many business people I work with that do it. Accountability, people!

My further frustration in the last two months:  I haven’t followed my own advice.

Where I was religious about blogging once or even twice each week and I gained extra traction by guest blogging for Switch and Shift, COSE, Lead With Giants, TTI Success Insights, and Lead Change Group, I haven’t sat down to write in months. Nada, Nothing.

I started spiraling into a pit of self loathing. Why? What’s the matter with me? Where is my integrity? Who is holding me accountable?

Then it occurred to me: I have been so focused on speaking that it consumed all available time to write blogs. Well, that is not entirely true – about the available time part, but the focus is real.

I decided at the beginning of the year to get on the stage – live and virtual – to spread the word about my Business Acceleration Coaching Package and Fail Proof Hiring, and that focus is starting to pay off.

That is the long winded way of telling you about my upcoming speaking engagements.

Here’s the next in a nutshell:

Oct. 18: Sacramento Women’s Expo, Sacramento, CA “Create a Business that Matters”

Oct. 23: Council of Smaller Enterprises / Small Business Convention, Sandusky, OH  “It’s Not You, It’s the Hiring System That’s Flawed”

Oct. 28: Sierra Commons / Business Ignitor Course, Nevada City, CA “ Selling Your Expertise”

Nov. 7: Toastmasters District 39 Conference, Sacramento, CA “Many Happy Returns” Humorous Speech Contestant

All I have to do now is take those speeches and turn them into blog posts. Until then,  let me know if you are planning to be at these events. I want to see friendly faces that I hope include yours.

Lastly, after writing this, I’m feeling pretty good. It makes sense to preach focus over blog posts. And my focus looks pretty good.

Great to hear that you’ve been building your engagement activity. Would like to strongly suggest you get someone to video every one of your presentations. Then excerpt them to present just the most valuable information. They will inevitably be too long for an effective video (2 – 3 minutes in length) . Every body enjoys watching a good presentation instead of reading one. if you’d like to get more info about how to make money from presentations let me know. I have a great book on the subject.
